Do not take it lightly. If you feel you have been struggling for a long time with stress, relationships that bring you unnecessary anxiety/ grief or are hurting your growth and empowerment, or you are experiencing symptoms of emotional/ mental distress, just like you go to a physician for chest pain, belly pain or other physical ailments, there are therapist/councilors/psychologists/psychiatrist/ coaches, who help you with emotional/ mental health challenges or challenges at your work/ family/ relationships. Seeking help from any of them shows you are strong, brave, and willing to grow and create a better mindset for you, your families, and the future generations to come. We never leave a fracture unattended. We get a cast/ surgery or whatever else we need and then we regain our strength, and ability to walk through physical therapy. Thatโ€™s how our brains work as well. Our brain is a mental muscle. Stress can cause injury. Or we can have a genetic mental illness. Whatever the reason, our mind too needs help sometimes. Be it with therapy, self-help strategies, or medications, taking care of our minds is crucial for us to enjoy and live an empowered, meaningful, and content life. So take that first step and contact your local councilors/ mental health providers to get an evaluation if you feel you have struggled with your emotions/ or mental health for a long time.
