About Video - ISI Marking Scheme - Understand the Full Procedure to obtain CM/L number in layman language.
ISI Marking Scheme is one of the BIS Schemes which deals with the product certification. ISI mark found on products ensures that the product is safe, reliable and of standard quality. While for some products, registration under ISI scheme is voluntary, but there are many products for which registration is mandatory be it cement, toys, footwear, drinking water etc.
The First step to get ISI certification is to identify the Indian Standard (IS) under which your product.
The process involves:

[2] Application filing
[3] Product Testing
[4] Grant of Certificate
Once result is received from the independent testing lab, manufacturer will be eligible to get CM/L No. in order to use the ISI Mark on the product.
