What Is The Best Budget PSU For A Gaming PC?

If you are building a PC or gaming PC on a budget then you want to save money, but you don't want to save more on the things that matter.
The PSU is one of the most important items of your setup, and basically don't buy a really cheap one, but that doesn't mean you need to spend hundreds either.
For most low end or mid range builds a 500w power supply should be enough for you. This power supply is going into a budget gaming pc with an Athlon 200GE 8GB DDR4 and a GTX970, so not a lot of wattage needed but the GPU still needs good reliable power and two PCIE connectors.
The RIOTORO Builders edition 500W has 80 plus rating and narrowly missed out on a bronze in some tests. The almost exact same design PSU in the EVGA BT450 gains the award but it is rated at 450W to do this. Both are ideal choices and use the flat style all black cabling which looks great in modern builds and see through case designs.
So, these are my two favourite PSU options for budget builds in the UK.
