About Video - Jesus Has Paid Our Debt!
Hebrews 10:12
But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
At one time, we owed God a great debt. Yes, it was a debt of sin. We owe God a debt of sin that can never be repaid. But God loves us so much that He has a plan to pay off the debt. He gave us His Son to die on the cross for our sins. Since Jesus was without sin, He was crucified and punished for our sins, and He paid our debt to God.
Dear friend, our sin debt which we owe God has been paid in full by our Lord Jesus. In fact, Jesus paid it all, even more than we owed the father God! Jesus' sacrifice was a full payment because it was not just a good man, revered for his saintly qualities and good character, who died for us. It was the Son of the living God himself, the one who created the universe, the perfect representative who died on our behalf!
Because Jesus is God, His sacrifice is greater than the combined sacrifices of all good men past, present, and future. His sacrifice benefits everyone who has lived in the past, everyone who is living now, and everyone who will live in the future. And His one sacrifice took away all our sins forever.
Jesus' sacrifice was also a full payment because His blood is far more Desirable to God than the blood of bulls and goats used in the past to atone for the sins of the Israelites. Indeed, under the law, almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. (Hebrews 9:22)
His blood is the blood of God Himself, not of animals. With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. (Hebrews 9:12). It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. (1 Peter 1:19). Because His blood is eternal, His blood cleanses us forever, so we have eternal forgiveness!
Beloved, God wants us to understand and stand firm in what Jesus our Lord has done for us. In order to pay all our sins debts that we owed God Jesus went to the cross sacrificed his life and died in pain and shame. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:16)
If you feel insecure about God's forgiveness. God is telling you today to believe in His promise. Then he said, “This blood confirms the covenant God has made with you.” (Hebrews 9:20) This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, firm and secure, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, (Hebrews 6:19). In fact, Jesus our Lord has entered into the presence of God representing us who believe.
It is because of him that we are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. (1 Corinthians 1:30) Today, God can righteously give us His blessings and we can expect to receive them because Jesus has already paid our debt! Beloved, because Jesus our Lord has fully paid your debt, you can truly and completely rest in the presence of God.
