About Video - Race for Relapsing Polychondritis at the 2019 Indianapolis 500 On May 26, 2019 relapsing polychondritis (RP) and autoimmune disease awareness rose to a new level during the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500. It was an honor to have the Race for Relapsing Polychondritis brand carried on the No. 63 Chevrolet during this single largest one-day sporting event in the world, with over 400,000 people in attendance and 5 million viewers around the world. Thank you to the teams, Ed Carpenter Racing and Scuderia Corsa along with drivers Ed Carpenter, Spencer Pigot and Ed Jones Racing, for your support of Race for RP - "Relapsing Polychondritis". It was an extraordinary and unforgettable experience, from the emotional opening ceremony and driver introductions, through the entire live broadcast on NBC. The Race for RP is so grateful to have participated in the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” which was significant to our mission of driving awareness about relapsing polychondrits and accelerating autoimmune disease research. There are over 100 autoimmune diseases which affect upwards of 50 million Americans. Some are rare like relapsing polychondritis (RP) or ankylosing spondylitis (AS), and some are more common such as celiac disease, multiple sclerosis or psoriasis. But we are in this together and it was an important move in the right direction to have our story told on this global platform. Please share this video as we continue to raise awareness and advance research efforts for autoimmune diseases which affect so many of us!#RaceforRP #MustBeMay #ThisIsMay #Indy500 #RelapsingPolychondrtis #Polychondritis #AutoimmuneDisease #AutoimmuneAwareness #Autoimmune #AutoimmuneWarrior #Autoimmunity #AutoimmuneDiseases #IndyCar
